In his role as a consultant to funeral home owners, David planned and implemented the 1984 FTC Funeral Rule compliance programs for more than 100 funeral homes. In 1994, David also guided clients in the FTC Amended Funeral Rule compliance.

He specializes in analyzing funeral home financial statements, preparing working budgets, complete pricing itemization, and merchandise selection and mark-up plans. 

David began advising funeral directors in 1979 as the Mid-Atlantic representative for an accounting firm.  In 1983, he accepted a new position with the accounting service and relocated to Springfield, IL.  His duties included the analysis and preparation of annual business reports for funeral directors throughout the country. 

In 1987, David rose to the position of Vice President of Management Services; a position he held until his resignation in March of 2003.
